In Her Shoes

Objectives

Wix wanted to offer their users a truly unique prize, the opportunity to get Manchester City players to try and experience what they do for a living.

Wix created a specific website as the destination to enter a competition in order to fully demonstrate their product to Manchester City fans.

 

The purpose of the competition was to find one Wix user who would win a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Execution

After launching the competition, housed on a stunning Wix website and promoted across Manchester City channels, Wix received over 3,000 entries in 7 days.

After whittling it down to one, Wix invited professional makeup artist Marihen Gimenez – winner of the competition, to the City Football Academy to meet the players.

 

Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Brunye, Ederson and Nicolas Otamendi swapped football boots for makeup brushes and took part in a unique challenge. After absorbing tips from the expert, the quartet tried their hands at creating: a Manchester City fan, a skeleton bride, a zombie and an Aguero lookalike!

Results

Launched in late November 2017, the resulting video content reached over 1.5m people and generated over 300,000 views.
